The Vision of ‘Green Drive’
Our flagship initiative, the ‘Green Drive’, is a reflection of our core values. We don’t just aim to plant trees; we aim to foster growth and witness the transformation of barren landscapes into lush, productive ecosystems. Last year, our mission took us to the village of Karatali in Ganjam, Odisha, where we successfully planted 700 guava trees. It was a milestone that brought us closer to our goal of greening the region and empowering our local farmers.
Perseverance in the Face of Challenges
Nature is beautiful, but it is also unpredictable. In the months following our initial plantation, some of the young saplings struggled to survive due to environmental factors. However, at Saha Charitable Trust, we see challenges as opportunities to demonstrate resilience.
We believe that our responsibility doesn’t end at the planting stage—it begins there. Understanding that the survival of these trees is paramount, we returned to the site to assess the progress and take corrective action.
A Renewed Commitment
On *May 20, 2026, we took a significant step forward by conducting a replantation drive in Karatali. Alongside our dedicated beneficiary, **Mr. A. Tankadhar, our team worked to replace the saplings that did not survive, ensuring that the field remains as vibrant as we envisioned. With the addition of *100 new guava saplings, we have reaffirmed our promise to the land and the local community.
