The 18th of Dec.2021, Saha Charitable Trust and Kolathia Gau Seva Kendra organised a programme at the Gau Seva Kendra Bhubaneswar.
Chief guest of the event was DCP Armed forces Sri Bijoy Ku. Sahu of OSAP 7th Battalion Bhubaneswar and Guest of Honour was Rtn. Dr.Bani Sengupta, former PG Council Chair person.
Others present at the event were Gau Sevaks and fellow animal lovers.
DCP spoke about the necessity of every living creature, be it an ant or an animal or a plant to be protected and given shelter. Cow is worshipped by every Hindu and is respected as Gau Maata. He praised and encouraged the Gau Sevaks who selflessly take care of the wounded, shelterless animals.
Dr. Bani Sengupta insisted on the spread of awareness of Gau Seva and protection of animals amongst the general public through social and electronic media. She also urged the Gau Sevaks to hold such meetings and awareness campaigns and spread the message.
Sri Jeevan Baba who donated one quintal of Cow feed also promised to donate a plot of land for the construction of another Gau Seva Kendra.
Mr. Purna Nayak founder of the Kolathia Gau Seva Kendra spoke about his experience on how he was motivated to form this Kendra along with other members and donors.
Ms. Milan Rath and Biswajit also spoke about their experiences.
